Setting up email on the phone. Email setup. Procedure for registering a new postal address

Every Internet user needs to know how to set up email. We can say that this process is comparable to setting up a newly purchased computer, because it is only a one-time process.

With Windows Mail, you can set up your Internet mail and use it all the time.

Start setting

Before you start working with the program, you must have in front of you certain information that will be required during installation. For example, it is important to know the name of the Internet mail address and its password, it is also necessary to choose the type of server for Internet mail and, finally, to know the server addresses for outgoing and incoming services that are used by the company of the mailbox provided to you.

With the first moment it is quite simple, since most users know the login and password of their Internet mail. And what about the types of servers?

Types and addresses of servers

To set up email on your computer, you need to know which servers Windows Mail can support. There are three in total:

  1. SMTP - used for outgoing services, thanks to it you can send messages over the Internet. It is combined with other servers.
  2. IMAP - allows you to work with messages that come to e-mail without first downloading them to your computer. Immediately on the server, you can not only watch messages, but also organize and delete them.
  3. POP3 - this type of server is provided for incoming mail, it is usually used for a personal account, not a business one. All sent messages are stored on the server until the recipient views them, and only then they are moved to the computer.

We figured out the type, but it is also important to know the address of each of the servers. Whichever service provider you use, server addresses often have a similar format. To find out, you can contact your service provider for information, or you can simply write the name of the provider. If you use mailboxes from yandex, gmail or mail, then information about the server address can be posted on the site in the help section.

Mail setup

When all the necessary information is ready, you can set up Windows Mail.

To set up an account mail, click "Start" and select "Windows Mail" in all programs. In it you will see a menu called "Service", in which you need to select "Accounts" and click on the "Add" button. After selecting the "Email account" section, click on the "Next" button and follow the further instructions.

Recently, an email address has become as popular an attribute as an address or a phone number, and due to the ubiquity of mobile telephony, the problem of working with e-mail using only a phone has become acute. No matter what they say, none of the phone services (SMS, EMS or MMS) is able to provide the flexibility inherent in e-mail. However, this is natural, e-mail is a product of a computer, and, accordingly, it is designed for computer power and capabilities. Well, the phone is just a specialized mini computer, and full-fledged work with electronic correspondence is contraindicated for it. On the other hand, all the possibilities of e-mail phone seem to be not needed. Why do you need, for example, executable files or pictures of several megabytes? But still, if you really want to, then you can, so we will try to combine a mobile phone and email.

Practice: How to set up email on a cell phone

Options, options...

The problem of e-mail on the phone appeared a long time ago, when there were phones that supported only voice communication and SMS. Accordingly, the first solution is to use a short message service. Everything is simple and clear here, letters go and come in the form of SMS, so only “clean” text is acceptable, and even then with volume restrictions. There are two ways to implement it: activate the corresponding service from a mobile operator or use the services of independent gateways.

E-mail has become so firmly established in our lives that it is unthinkable to imagine how we would communicate on forums, exchange information, photos and videos without this useful service. Increasingly, there is a need to have two or three, or even five or even ten postal addresses: for work colleagues, partners, friends, forums, mailing lists, etc. and so on. Working with such an army of mailboxes through ordinary web interfaces on the sites of postal services is time consuming and significantly increases the cost of the Internet. This is where email programs come to the rescue.

What is a mail program? This is a program installed on your PC in which you can receive, write, send and store emails and their attachments directly on your computer without accessing the mail site through a browser.

An email program is also often referred to as a mail client, email client, email client, mailer.

Today there are many mail programs. We will look at the most common of them running on the Microsoft Windows operating system:

Windows Mail (installed by default on Windows Vista) - Microsoft Outlook Express (installed by default on Windows XP) - Outlook Office 2007 (included in Microsoft Office 2007)

Outlook Office 2003 (part of Microsoft Office 2003)

We will analyze all the main points using the example of the Windows Mail program that comes with all operating systems of the Windows Vista family. And then we will step by step analyze the process of setting up other mail programs.

As an example, we will use a mailbox on mail.ru with the name This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You must have JavaScript enabled to view. and password password.

So let's get started.

How to Set Up Windows Mail in Microsoft Vista

1. First of all, let's start the mail program.

From the Windows Vista Start menu, click All Programs and select Windows Mail from the list that appears.

2. Let's start creating a new email account. To do this, in the "Service" menu, select the item "Accounts ...".

3. In the window that opens, click the "Add" button.

4. Select the type of account to be added - "E-mail account" and click the "Next" button.

5. Enter the name that will be displayed in the "From" field of all letters sent by us. For example, Anna S. And press the "Next" button.

6. Enter our email address, for example This email address is being protected from spambots. You must have JavaScript enabled to view. , and click the "Next" button.

7. Now the most difficult part of the work - setting up receiving and sending mail. To do this, you need to enter the names of the corresponding servers - POP3 and SMTP. Let's figure out what it is.

POP3 - from the English "Post Office Protocol Version 3", translates as "post office protocol of the third version." It is used by the mail program to receive mail from the server. In our example, mail.ru is the server, because That's where the email is registered.

SMTP - from the English "Simple Mail Transfer Protocol", translates as "simple mail transfer protocol". It is designed to transfer mail to the server (in our example, to mail.ru) and from the server to the recipient.

For greater clarity, let's draw an analogy with the postman. The POP3 postman brings incoming mail for you from the post office, which is mail.ru. The SMTP postman takes your mail, takes it to the post office (mail.ru), and from there delivers your letters to the recipients.

Thus, if thanks to POP3 we receive mail, then thanks to SMTP we can send it. The operation of these protocols is invisible to our eyes. However, any mail program must specify which protocols to use.

In our example:

Incoming message server for receiving mail: pop3.mail.ru (where pop3 is the protocol for receiving mail, and mail.ru is the system where the mailbox is registered) - outgoing server for sending mail: smtp.mail.ru (where smtp is the protocol for sending mail, and mail.ru is the system in which the mailbox is registered) Note: If you have a list.ru or bk.ru mailbox, then you need to write them instead of mail.ru. Then you get pop3.list.ru or pop3.bk.ru for receiving mail, and smtp.list.ru or smtp.bk.ru for sending mail. The same principle applies to any other mail systems: yandex.ru, rambler.ru, etc. Everywhere a period and the name of the mail system are added to pop3 and smtp. For example: to receive mail from pop3.yandex.ru or pop3.rambler.ru; to send smtp.yandex.ru or smtp.rambler.ru mail.

So, we entered the server names for receiving and sending mail: pop3.mail.ru and smtp.mail.ru. Each field should have only one name.

8. There is another interesting option in this window. Many mail systems, including mail.ru, ask for your mailbox name and password when sending and (or) receiving mail for security reasons. In this case, be sure to check the box next to the item "Outgoing server requires authentication." Now you can click the "Next" button.

9. Now enter the mailbox name and password. In our example, this email address is being protected from spambots. You must have JavaScript enabled to view. and password. When entering the password, black dots will be displayed - as it should be, 1 dot = 1 character. This is done for security purposes so that no one can spy on the password.

In this window, we will also check the box next to "Remember password" so that the mail program does not ask us to enter it every time we send or receive mail. We press the "Next" button.

10. The mail program setup is almost complete. In the next window, we need to make an important decision: whether or not we want all our incoming letters to mail.ru to be downloaded to the computer into the mail program. If we don't want to, then check the box next to "Do not download email messages." Otherwise, do not check the box. However, remember that if you have a lot of messages in your inbox and they are large, you risk spending a lot of traffic and time downloading them.

Having decided on the checkbox, click the "Finish" button and complete the setup of our mail.

11. The email account you just created will appear in the list. Click the "Close" button at the bottom of the window.

The mail program setup is complete. Now you can write, send and receive emails directly from your computer.

How to set up Outlook Express in Windows XP

1. Open the program by clicking "Start" - "Programs" - "Outlook Express".

2. In the "Service" menu, select the "Accounts" item.

3. Click the "Add" button and select "Mail ..."

4. Enter the name that will be displayed in the "From" field of all letters sent by us. For example, Anna S. And press the "Next" button.

5. Enter our email address and click "Next".

6. Let's select and the list "Server of incoming messages" - POP3. In the field "Server of incoming messages" enter pop3.mail.ru. In the field "Server of outgoing messages" enter smtp.mail.ru.

7. Maintain an email address - This email address is being protected from spambots. You must have JavaScript enabled to view. and the password to access this e-mail box is password. Check the box next to "Remember password" and click the "Next" button.

8. To complete the account setup, click the "Finish" button.

9. Our mailbox appeared in the list. But the setup of the Microsoft Outlook Express mail program has not yet been completed. Many mail systems, including mail.ru, ask for your mailbox name and password when sending and (or) receiving mail for security reasons. To configure this option in Microsoft Outlook Express, select the newly created email account and click the "Properties" button.

10. In the window that appears, go to the "Servers" tab. Check the box next to "User Authentication"

and click the "Settings" button. Make sure that the item “As to the incoming mail server” is selected there and click “OK” in all the boxes.

11. In the Accounts window, click the "Close" button.

This completes the configuration of the Microsoft Outlook Express mail program.

How to set up email on a computer

After starting the Windows Live Mail program, the Agreement will appear, which must be accepted by clicking on the appropriate button (Fig. 290).

Then the program will start and immediately prompt us to create a mail account, i.e. in simple terms - add your e-mail box to the program (Fig. 291).

Specify your mailbox, password to this box and name. I indicated the box that I created on Yandex. I also included my first and last name. They will appear in the emails I send. Click Next.

The program automatically connects to the site on which we have registered an e-mail box and configures all the necessary parameters for receiving and sending letters. Then we are informed that the e-mail record has been successfully added, and we are asked to create another one (Fig. 292). But we won't do that yet, so click on the Done button.

Setting up email programs on your computer - Mail - Yandex.Help

When using the IMAP protocol, the mail program synchronizes with the server and maintains the folder structure of your mailbox. The letters you send through the mail program will be stored not only on the computer, but also on the server, and you can access them from various devices.

Before configuring the mail program, enable the IMAP protocol:

To configure a mail program using the IMAP protocol, you must specify the following data:

Incoming mail

  • mail server address - imap.yandex.ru;
  • connection protection - SSL;
  • port - 993.
Outgoing mail
  • connection protection - SSL;
  • port - 465.

Support for the IMAP protocol will be enabled automatically upon first authorization in the mail program.

When using the POP3 protocol, all messages from the folders that you specify in the Settings → Mail programs menu will be saved by the mail program to your computer in the Inbox folder. If necessary, you can set up filters in your mail program to automatically move messages to the correct folders. The emails you send will only be stored on your computer.

Note. When downloading emails from a server using the POP3 protocol, Yandex.Mail automatically saves copies of emails on the server, but you can delete emails manually using the web interface. If you want to delete emails with an email program, use the IMAP protocol.

Before setting up the mail program, enable the POP3 protocol:

To configure a mail program using the POP3 protocol, you must specify the following data:

Incoming mail

  • mail server address - pop.yandex.ru;
  • connection protection - SSL;
  • port - 995.
Outgoing mail
  • mail server address - smtp.yandex.ru;
  • connection protection - SSL;
  • port - 465.

To access the mail server, enter your Yandex username and password (or application password if you have enabled two-factor authentication). If you set up receiving mail from a mailbox of the form "", the login is the part of the address before the "@" sign. If you use Yandex.Mail for a domain, you must specify the full mailbox address as a login.

You can set up receiving emails via POP3 protocol from any folder, including Spam. To do this, open the menu Settings → Mail programs and mark the required folders.

When downloading the contents of the mailbox by mail programs, messages are not marked as read by default. If you want to mark received emails as read, enable the appropriate option.

Select the message you received:

"No connection to server"

If a message appears that there is no connection to the server, try to log in with the same login and password in the web interface, entering the data again, and not using the previously remembered ones.

Note. If you have enabled two-factor authentication, use the app password.

Make sure that the protocol you want to use is enabled in the Mail Programs section.

Make sure that you have correctly specified the following server addresses in the mail program settings:

  • for IMAP address imap.yandex.ru and port 993 with SSL;
  • for SMTP address smtp.yandex.ru and port 465 with SSL.
  • for POP3 address pop.yandex.ru and port 995 with SSL;

For more information on how to check server settings in different email programs, see Encryption of transmitted data.

"Authentication required", "Sender address rejected: Access denied" or "Send auth command first"

If the message "Authentication required", "Sender address rejected: Access denied" or "Send auth command first" appears, authorization on the Yandex SMTP server is disabled in the mail program settings. Make sure that the User Authentication (for Outlook Express) or SMTP Authentication (for The Bat!) option is enabled.

"Sender address rejected: not owned by auth user"

If the message "Sender address rejected: not owned by auth user" appears, the address from which you are trying to send an email does not match the one under which you are authorized on the SMTP server. Make sure that in the settings of the mail program, the return address is exactly the address from which the login is used in the authorization settings for SMTP.

"Login failure or POP3 disabled"

If the message "Login failure or POP3 disabled" occurs, the mail program cannot access the mailbox using the POP3 protocol. Make sure that you entered the correct password for the box and that access via the POP3 protocol is enabled on the settings page.

Note. If you have enabled two-factor authentication, use the app password. "Message rejected under suspicion of SPAM"

If the message "Message rejected under suspicion of SPAM" appears, the content of your message was recognized by Yandex.Mail as spam. To solve the problem, open the Yandex.Mail web interface and send any one email as a test. This way you will prove to the system that the letters are not sent by a robot.

Also check your computer for viruses with free antivirus programs: CureIt! from Dr.Web and Kaspersky Lab's Virus Removal Tool.

For more information, see I'm getting an "Email could not be sent" message.

If the mail program does not receive or send letters, check the correctness of the settings of your mail program, as well as the settings for connecting your computer to the Internet.

If you are using an antivirus program, firewall or proxy server, disable them and see if this reproduces the problem.

If the letters disappeared from the Inbox, then most likely they ended up in another folder, for example, in Deleted Items or Spam. If you remember the name or address of the sender, part of the text of the letter or the subject - try to search for the letter in all the folders of your mailbox.

If there are no missing messages in the Deleted Items, then perhaps a month has passed since they were deleted - the Deleted Items folder was automatically cleared. Therefore, such letters cannot be restored.

If the emails were deleted less than a month ago, you can restore them. To do this, go to the Deleted Items folder, select the necessary messages, click the Move to Folder link and select the required folder from the list.

Another mail service is configured to collect messages from your Yandex mailbox

If you have a mailbox from another mail service and a mail collector from a mailbox on Yandex is configured on it, then letters in Yandex.Mail will be automatically deleted. To solve the problem, configure Yandex.Mail to forward messages to another address by enabling the option to save a copy when forwarding. After that, disable the collector on the other mail service.

A rule is configured to delete messages Make sure that there are no rules configured in the mail flow rules to delete incoming messages. If they are, try turning them off for a while and check if the letters will arrive in the Inbox. Another user has access to your mailbox

Emails can be deleted by a user who, for some reason, has access to your mailbox: perhaps you forgot to end the session after working on someone else's device. To end your session, click the Logout link on all devices in the account menu. You can also do this on the Passport page - using the link Sign out on all computers.

Go to the visit log and check if there are messages deleting operations in it.

Limitation. The log stores about 2000 actions. If more than 2000 actions were performed after deleting messages, deletion data will not be displayed in the log.

If you are sure that only you have access to your mailbox, check your computer with an antivirus, change your password and additional address. Also check for numbers you don't recognize on the Phone Numbers page.

If you delete messages in a mail program, but they are still in their folders on the Yandex.Mail website, then most likely your mail program is configured using the POP3 protocol. Due to the peculiarities of the POP3 protocol, messages in the mail program may not be synchronized correctly with the server. It is recommended to use the IMAP protocol to work with Yandex.Mail. For information on how to reconfigure your email program from POP3 to IMAP, see Switching from POP3.

If your email program doesn't show sent emails, then most likely your email program is configured with POP3 protocol.

Copying messages when moving or deleting via IMAP is related to the peculiarities of the IMAP protocol and the synchronization settings of email programs. In this case, after performing the actions, you need to synchronize the folders with the server forcibly so that the data matches. In Mozilla Thunderbird, you need to use the Compress function to do this.

The report always indicates the reason for the non-delivery. You can read about the most common reasons in the article The letter was sent, but did not reach the recipient.

If you receive invalid certificate errors when activating SSL encryption in your mail program, make sure that your mail program and operating system are configured correctly:

  10. (Optional) In the pop-up dialog, click Agree.
  11. In the folder tree, click the Trusted Root Certification Authorities → Certificates folder.
  12. In the list of certificates (on the right), find the Certum CA certificate, right-click on it and select Properties.
  13. Click the General tab.
  14. Make sure that the Server Authentication option is enabled under Allow only the following destinations.
  15. Click OK.
Problems with certificate validation in The Bat!

If in The Bat! Having trouble validating the security certificate, update the program to version 6 or higher. After updating, do the following:

  1. From the program menu, select Properties → S/MIME and TLS.
  2. In the S/MIME implementation and TLS certificates section, set the switch to Internal.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Try sending an email. If the certificate error reappears, then in the same section Properties → S/MIME and TLS → S/MIME implementation and TLS certificates, set the switch to Microsoft CryptoAPI.
  5. Click the OK button.

Note. The switch positions have to be sorted out manually, because. in some versions of The Bat! the position Internal will work, in others - Microsoft CryptoAPI.

If the issue persists after this, contact Ritlabs Support.

Sending emails from a scanner that does not support SSL

Set up your MFP or scanner as follows:

  1. Specify the following SMTP settings:
    • server - smtp-devices.yandex.com
    • port - 25
  2. Enable authentication (authentication).
  3. Enter your username and password in the appropriate fields.

    Attention. Be sure to enter your username and password manually. If you select authentication similar to the incoming mail server, sending will not work.

Limitation. Emails can only be sent this way to addresses served by Yandex.Mail (in the yandex.ru domain or to Yandex.Mail for Domains addresses). Letters through this server will not be sent to mailboxes of other mail services.

If you recently changed your mailbox password, make sure you also update your email settings. If the password in the settings is correct, wait a few hours - the settings of the mail program may not be synchronized with the Yandex server immediately.

Many search engines and Internet services offer to create a free mailbox, each of which provides its own exceptional advantages, but not all can compare with email from Yandex.

Yandex mail provides the user with unlimited space for storing letters, various systems for protecting against viruses and malware, and also has intelligent spam protection and allows you to access mail from almost all devices connected to the Internet.

Create a mailbox

Nowadays, even a beginner can start a mailbox. Now many Internet services offer to create an email for free, and to create it, the user must come up with a unique email address and a complex password. The most popular mail services are Yandex, Google, Microsoft and mail.ru.

Each of these email services provides access through a web interface in any browser, as well as email clients. As you know, all of the above companies have search services, and also provide access to their other services. Therefore, by registering a free mailbox, you can get access to all other services of these companies.

How to create email on Yandex

The first step to register mail in Yandex is to create a username and password. Creating a login should be taken responsibly, as it should be simple and easy to read. After the end of registration, the login can no longer be changed, and it will forever be attached to your email address. For example, if your login is spelled “login” then your email address will look like this “ [email protected]”.

The creation of a password should also be taken very seriously, otherwise the mailbox can be hacked by scammers.

To avoid such a situation, you should come up with complex passwords and not worry about hacking mail, to create which you should take into account its length of at least 15 characters and consist of upper and lower case letters, numbers and contain various special characters.

Complex passwords are quite difficult to remember, so special programs have been developed to store them, where one of them is “KeePass Password Safe”. In addition to storing passwords, the program provides their generator, which allows you to quickly create a difficult password.

Registration 1 step

After you have come up with a username and password, you should proceed to the direct creation of an electronic mailbox.

  1. To do this, you should go to the web address https://mail.yandex.ru and click on the "Create a mailbox" button, after which you will be taken to the mail registration page.

  1. On the registration page, you must enter your first and last name, as well as the username and password you previously created. Also pay attention to the item "Security question" and the data that you filled in it, you need to remember, they can come in handy if you forget your password. After all the entered information, you need to click the "Register" button.

Registration 2 step

After registration, you will be taken to the main web interface of the mailbox, where your account will be further configured in the “Quick Mail Setup” window and you will be able to set up your mailbox step by step.

  1. The first step is to set up labels, which will allow you to group your contacts with colored labels.

  1. The second step allows you to connect other accounts to your mailbox. This is done so that you can receive letters, for example, from mail.ru in your Yandex mailbox.

  1. The third step will allow you to provide additional information about yourself, as well as select a domain zone and upload a photo.

  1. The fourth step is the final one, which informs you that the initial mail setup is complete. By clicking the “Finish” button, you will be able to fully use the mail through the web interface.

Mail setup

Going to the mail settings, you will see the following items:

  • information about the sender;
  • collection of mail from other mailboxes;
  • folders and labels;
  • mail handling rules;
  • safety;
  • mail programs;
    other options.

You can safely skip the first three points, since they were configured at the initial stage in the “Quick Mail Setup” window. The “Mail processing rules” item will allow you to set up a black and white list of contacts.

For example, if you receive a lot of spam from certain addresses, then you can add them to the “Black List” and their letters will never get into your mailbox again. The white list is used to ensure that all letters sent by your colleagues and friends do not fall into the spam folder.

Item “Security” will give you the option to replace the old password with the new one. In addition, you can specify additional email addresses and your phone number to restore access in case the mailbox is hacked. The log of visits makes it possible to track from which IP addresses you entered the mail.

Item “Mail Programs” allows you to configure the protocol through which your program will collect mail. Yandex mail can use the POP protocol and the more modern IMAP, which is installed by default.

Item “Other parameters” configures the web mail interface and editing, as well as sending emails.

Collection of letters on the computer through The Bat

If you use mail for regular correspondence with friends and relatives or for registering in some service, then a browser will be enough for you. But when you use a mailbox in a large company and process hundreds of letters daily, then an email client installed on a PC will become an indispensable assistant for you, where The Bat! is the most popular!

Among competitors, it is distinguished by increased security, speed, support for all Windows operating systems. Thanks to these qualities, the program is increasingly being used in a corporate environment where security and speed are in the foreground.

The Bat! - is a stand-alone product capable of configuring work not only with email services, email service providers, but also with Microsoft Exchange servers, which is extremely important in a business environment. The program covers an unlimited number of email-boxes, processing and storing messages of a huge scale with the provided means of automatic sorting and filtering messages.

In addition, the use of IMAP4, POP3 and SMTP protocols ensures the security of communication with mail servers and supports SSL and TLS cryptographic protocols of various versions for interaction with the client of all mail services that use network traffic encryption.

Installation and setup

To install the program on a PC, download the client by going to the download page. After downloading the client, launch it and click the "Next" button.

After that, accept the terms of the license agreement and click the "Next" button.

Then you will be given the opportunity to choose the “Full” or “Custom” installation, and with a full installation, all program components are installed, and with a custom installation, only those that you specify and click the “Next” button.

After selecting the components, a window will appear informing you that the program is ready for installation. Click the "Install" button and wait until the end.

After installation, run the program. A window for creating a new mailbox will appear.

Enter your mailbox details in it and click the “OK” button. After that, you will be taken to the main menu of the program and will be able to fully use e-mail on your computer.

Work in the program

To a user who is used to working with mail in a web interface, The Bat may seem like a rather complicated program, but it is not, because creating and receiving emails in it is as easy as in mail from a browser. To create a new message, you just need to go to the "Message" tab and click the "Create" button. Then a new window will open where you can edit your letter.

Unlike web mail, email editing in The Bat is quite advanced. You can format text, check text for spelling, and encrypt emails with S/MIME, PGP, and OpenPGP.

Receiving incoming emails is as easy as sending them, all you have to do is open the program and go to your inbox. The program also has an advanced system of protection against viruses and various spyware. The Bat can check both graphic files and executable files for viruses. And if you receive a letter with a malicious file, the client will definitely issue a warning.

If you use The Bat at work and other employees have access to your PC, then you can protect it by using a password to access your personal box. To do this, go to the “Box” tab and click the “Password to access the box” button

One of the advantages of such a program is the use of an offline address book. It provides additional security, since many formats have been subjected to various attacks in which data is stolen. Also, the book is compatible with many modern formats, which allows you to store in it not only mail data.

Thanks to the use of plug-ins that provide additional protection for mail, which can be created by developers, The Bat has gained additional popularity in the corporate environment.

Summing up, we can say that an electronic mailbox is an indispensable assistant that helps people communicate both at home and at work. As you can see from the article, even the most novice user is able to create an email. The use of e-mail in our time remains very relevant, since this type of transmission is one of the main ones in the world of the Internet.

Enter your password for your email account and click Next.

In the settings of the incoming server, you need to fill in the correct address of the mail server. On Hostinger you can find your server name under Control Panel –> Mail Settings. After filling, click Next.

If you are using a hosting service other than Hostinger, the automatic configuration of the mail server may not work. In this case, the mail client program may request the following data:

  1. username (Username)- your email address.
  2. Password (password)– your email account password.
  3. server- usually you can use your domain name or mail.yourdomain.com. Contact your hosting provider for more information.
  4. Port (port)- port numbers may also depend on the provider, but the default ports for POP3 and IMAP are:
    • 110 POP3 without SSL
    • 143 IMAP without SSL
    • 993 IMAP with SSL
    • 995 POP3 with SSL
  5. Security type (security type)- this option is used if you want to use a mail server with an SSL/TLS certificate. If you are not using a certificate, then select None.
  6. Delete email from server (delete emails from the server)– if you want to delete emails from the north when you delete them in your email client, then select the option When I delete from Inbox. If you do not want to delete messages from the server, then select Never (never).

Just like with the incoming server, you need to change the name of the outgoing mail server.

If you are hosting from a different provider than Hostinger, you may need to manually enter the SMTP port and select the security type. It is recommended to select a security type SSL/TLS or STARTTLS and check with your ISP for SMTP ports. When all the data is filled in, click Next.

Select the time interval with which you would like your emails to be synchronized with the server. If you do not need to check your mail frequently, we recommend that you select the highest value for this setting in order to reduce battery consumption. Additionally, you can choose when emails arrive, sync emails from this account, and automatically download attachments when there is a Wi-Fi connection. If all settings are accepted, then you will receive a confirmation message.

That's it, now you can use your personal email address on your email client on your Android device.
